I was almost one hour late at the second meeting of the Dubai Couture Syndicale,blithely unruffled by messages every minute and constant ringing on my mobile phone, my nerve was beginning to wreck my composure.I was not so sure about my mixed” Tom Ford-meets-Ralph Lauren-urban-Montana-look”.
I had this Tom Ford jeans, a gift from London last September and I was little bit crazy about the urban rugged look of Dolce& Gabbana Spring Collection 2010, methink of my farm rural yore and pictured myself just getting out in Ford jeans with Birshka indigo cowboy shirt and a stone brown inner shirt by Zara.
My caramel GFF RANCH BAG frequently been mistaken for an Hermes, and my Mauricio Medieros gold brown topside shoes completed my look in a spring climate now in Dubai.
Feeling gawdy, I concealed my histrionics and displayed sweeter-than-saccarine smile when I entered the luxe Luxor Conferrence Room at the Raffles Hotel.
The whole congregation were there and looking at me like a calamity ready to befall…. a knife in shinning galore!
FASHION'S HEAVYWEIGHTS
The atmosphere naturally was so icy!!!…silently scrutinizing each others fab grabs in charming charade.
My Editor-in-Chief of Illustrado Magazine, the razor-sharp and so witty Ms. Lalaine Chu Benitez wearing a beige combo of loose knitted shirt with pants met me with usual “beso-beso” in arabic.
Singing a different fashion tune this time, was Michael Cinco in black Marc Jacob shirt , Alexander MacQueen pants and PRADA shoes with limited edition of LV.Gaining enormous praises and accolades on his successful show at the Dubai Fashion Week is his obvious gains too in his used-to-be zero size past Hyatt Days!

So it is his noble duty to sartorialized his fashion perfection!!!like thinking he is an adfab walking piece of art!
Then came the fashion’s heavyweight who made a mark at the recently concluded L.A. Fashion Week, Furne One with his milky complexion and the overstaying blondness. His presence to the syndicale added weightiness in terms of global achievements and fashion exposures, engrossing good reviews. Living and breathing his part, Furne took his style detour by choosing black long sleeves shirt with an Arafat scarf denoting his unconventional approach to art. Gushing in every corner, the in-the-news-designer’s current infatuation of his fab collection brought the glow in his alabaster face….he was in high hormones!!!!
I love his oversize LOUIS VUITTON …so casually clutched in his arms without denudations in his private accounts! Muy Bonita y muchas gracitas!!oh la la…dolce vita.
BANDOIX FLORES
At the vicinity of the designers rigodon was the flamboyant and mercurial Bandoix Flores, with his ethereal snob look, all the others just picked up their dropped jaws from the floor….oh my gawhness Bandoix!..if only everybody had the same sharpen- to- the- nth claws you got, then it would be a fierce style battle jungle out there!. Mother Earth must have her own favorite…the killer look of his PRADA shades, and Yves Saint Laurent black oversize bag…packed punches!

The lithe and stunningly tall Val Taguba, whose pouts and discerning taste sunk deep in to his skin with more ease reflecting his brilliant mind jabbing verbal cuts and witty thrusts. So sure of his style ego in minimalist just- right- for- the- occasion fitted black shirt with washed jeans, brands undisclosed..LV added.
Oh my!..the vestal virgin meets the uptight 90’s look, darling Ralph Ramirez, with his perpetual display of sober and controlled safe styling, was hassle-free. In closed to-the-last- button black shirt tucked in jeans,….cool.

The dismal appearance of Abu Dhabi’s top notch designers last meeting’s battle of the bags took a full turn and made a total fashion redemption of sort.
ABU DHABI'S Numero Uno
Starting with the Dhabi’s numero uno, Ruben Santos in a not just-turn-the-light-on-looks but looking like million bucks with his Zara shirt and jeans, Prada shoes and oversize Dior shades.
ALBERT FONTANILLA
Albert Fontanilla’s smart use of brown degration blended well with his fair skinned complexion. Pulled well, he received 5 thumbs up for this very creative look, a designer to watch from the capital city.
Bambi Alcantara’s “Gray is the new Black” look was eye catching, it’s Roberto Cavalli shirt with Birshka jeans. Shooting salvos of sort was the black Versace shades and blingy belt.
Inappropriately so casual was Albert Basmayor, Abu Dhabi’s infant terrible to designs and styles…but he promised to be spunkier in his next fashion inventory!!!
